<p>Hi, I’m going to be a senior in hs and I’ve been wanting to go to UCI ever since I entered high school. Do I stand a chance? </p>

<p>So here are my stats:</p>

<p>10th
English 10 GATE A A
European History AP B A
Biology CP A A
Biology AP C C =(
Spanish 2 CP B B
Advanced Algebra B C
Mock Trial A
Weighted GPA: 3.5 w/o mock trial</p>

<p>I went to summer school and took intermediate algebra and got 2 A’s, but I guess that doesn’t count towards my GPA.</p>

Weighted GPA: 4.2 something w/o mock trial</p>

<p>OVERALL UC GPA: 3.75</p>

<p>SAT: 650 CR/ 710 M/ 620 W= 1980… planning to re-take for hopefully 2100</p>

<p>SAT II: 600 Literature and 560 US History- I was totally not prepared that day. Planning to take Math Level 2, Literature, and Chinese w/ Listening in the fall for higher scores.</p>

<p>EC’s:
Founding member and secretary of Asian Club
Member of JSA… started it at my school with my friend
Mock Trial- every year
Key Club
Volunteers at local history museum- 100 hours or so</p>

<p>Extras: I do not know if this means anything, but the assistant principle at my school said our location would help me get into a UC, because my county has the lowest college attendance rate in California. Not alot of accelerated classes are offered here and there isn’t much opportunity to do anything extrodinary… hence why I tried my best to start some intellectual clubs at my school.</p>

<p>UCI would be a good match for you. dont worry about SAT’s, not that important anyways</p>

<p>Yeah, I seriously wouldn’t sweat it. Just do all the things you said you’re going to do (retake/take tests) and you’ll be in at UCI.</p>
