You go from “Member” to “Senior Member” on your 1,000th post. I think that on 5,000 you should go to “Graduate Member.” Doesn’t anyone ever graduate from this place?

Mom2collegekids is now over 21,000 posts. She probably deserves “Post-Doc Member” status!

^^^ No kidding! Let’s see . . . average number of minutes per post x 5,000 divided by 60 minutes in an hour x $7.25 minimum wage . . . I don’t think I want to do the math.

The program where I play my games of solitaire shows me the total amount of time I’ve spent playing games (as in 1 day, 3 hours and 21 minutes). I must admit I didn’t like seeing I had spent one full day playing solitaire. (Okay, that’s over 1 year and a half, but still…). I wondered if College Confidential can tell me how much time I’ve spent here. Gulp. Maybe I don’t want to know.

gadad, I’ve discovered how hard it is to leave this site, even after the kids have been accepted into college. It’s not the number of posts you write, but how many years it takes to select a college. Here’s my pledge: I’ll be gone by the time they graduate. How about you?

Probably not - colleges are my life. And I’ve also found, to my delight, that CC parents are about the best informed and most intelligently insightful peer group I know. I’ve used you all to get European vacation suggestions, used car reviews, and to ask how to get a Labrador Retriever out of a lake that has a seawall. Where else can you turn for that kind of life guidance? I suppose that if I’m going to be an “Epic Member” of something, it’ll likely be CC!

Oh, most wise Senior Members!
We Newbies bow to your wisdom.
Please do not leave us…we rely on your knowledge, your experience, your wisdom, and your humor!
Besides…if y’all left, I’d have to leave, too, and get busy and do more work!
(Can I just say that I love the Parent Cafe!)

Now if I remember correctly, posts only get counted outside the Parent Cafe. So if we can apply some kind of formula to relate Parent Cafe to non-Parent Cafe posts, would we all be double the official count? Triple? Should we have two kinds of member designations - like “Really helpful about the subject of college Member” vs “Done with everything to do with college but still can’t leave CC Member”. And how about some way to measure views vs posts, like “Curious about everything but knowledgeable about nothing Member”?
