<p>I’m hoping that there are some of you out there that have attended the colleges I’m about to list that I’m interested in, and hopefully tell me what to improve on, not just “you’re in” or “no chance,” etc. Thanks!</p>
<p>High School: Neuqua Valley (4000+ kids), one of most expensively built, “best” HS in nation (like, 900th or something)</p>
<p>I’m an Asian junior chick.
Class Rank: top 9%, out of about 1700 kids in my class.
GPA: W 4.18. Not sure what’s my UW, but I’ve had a pretty consistent grade trend.
ACT: English 31, Math 31, Science 26 (blah.), 31 Reading. Will retake in April.
I haven’t decided whether to take the SAT or not.</p>
<p>AP classes: Euro history (5), chemistry, psychology, English. Will take Calc BC, Bio, government, French, and statistics as a senior. Hopefully. </p>
<p>Extracurricular: orchestra for 2 yrs.
2nd degree black belt, been training for at least 8 years.
President & co-founder of Amnesty International chapter at my school
French club (3 yrs), will be joining French Honors Society.
Youth and Government (2+ yrs)</p>
<p>Volunteering: 300+ hours instructing 4-5 yr old children in tae kwon do.
delivering flowers to patients at the hospital, 41 hours.</p>
<p>Colleges I’m interested in: Some of these are major streches. </p>
<p>Oh, an I want to major in biology (pre-med, if they have something specified for prospective med kids) and perhaps French if I have room. I heard NU isn’t great for pre-med?</p>
