Okay so I am an A+ student all around, I have a bunch of extracurriculars, like I am a nationally ranked ballroom dancer, and I fence, also I am fluent in Russian, I volunteer every weekend at my temple and do all kinds of other things. So in my school, we get grades in quarters (every 10 weeks) so I am doing great in all my honors and AP classes (A+) but I am really terrible at math. I was always able to get A’s though however my math class isn’t honors, however I do math 1 year ahead of grade level (this is standard practice in our school, I did not skip a grade) however this year I got a B+ in first quarter Math and a C+ in second quarter math. I am sure that I will get A’s for the rest of the year, so i know that everyone asks, but will this stop me from getting to the college of my choice, namely Georgetown University? Thank you so much for tolerating my droning.

Do the quarter grades appear on your transcript, or only semester grades?

not entirely sure, I think that all grades are on the transcript, but how about you tell me about both scenarios?

Also, I know that I am horrible at math and that I don’t want to do anything with math in college. Actually i want to eventually study law, so will this be known to the college? Further, there was an event in my life that caused this grade drop, could I explain that too?

What grade are you in? If you are taking Algebra II in tenth grade, then this may hurt your application minutely because it is not that difficult a class. Now if you’re taking Differential Equations junior year, they will understand your situation.
