I love college!

Some of the main things I like about my college experience are my friends, the interesting and challenging curriculum in my major program, and how welcoming the campus looks and feels. I also like the fact that there’s plenty to do in the city, and there’s a lot of good vegetarian food around here. Another thing I’ve come to appreciate is the ever-increasing amount of freedom, having moved from parents’ houses to a dorm, then to an apartment, and hopefully soon I’ll have my own room within a new apartment. =)

What do you love about your college/college in general?

The large sets of data that can be extracted from masses of people using the right elicitation techniques. The social engineering experiments. The predictable pattern of responses that can be elicited from anything from academics to sex.

First off thank you for posting this. I’m not in college yet, but I’ll be attending in the fall and I look though these posts every now and then to get a little glimps of what college may be like, the majority posting are not having a good time ( I’m well aware of the probability that those having a good time are less likely to post because they have no reason to) but it’s still refreshing to see the opposite side of the pond once in a while. So I look forward to reading these. :)

the campus green and the venues is pretty much it

If you hate your college so much, why are you there? What factors are forcing you to stay against your will?

When establishing a predictive profile of a potential shooter, one of the factors that we need to examine closely are students who hate their school but stay anyway. They are part of the reason why I support psychological evaluations for firearm possession.
