I LOVE These Commercials

Alright, this might be a smaller list that the ones we HATE, but there are some good ones. For example, I get a chuckle from the Cingular “Dropped Call” series, especially the one with the office worker and her boss (“I guess there’s a new sheriff in town”) and the daughter with her boyfriend in Las Vegas (“Don’t make the same mistake I did!”). The major problem with these is that they were shown over and over and over on American Idol, blunting their humor.

K, I too love the dropped call series, some are so sad though

Shows one you shouldn’t assume stuff froma phone call

K, I love the commercial with the dogs- one is looking in the toliets, some are running in the grass together, a couple more are swimming- awwwww

There is a car commercial (sorry I don’t remember the brand) where a mom is driving her kids. The little girl sitting in the back seat says to mom, “What does spoiled mean?” Mom then replies, “Why, did someone say you were spoiled?” Little girl replies, “No, they said you were.”

You then see mom grinning as she drives her car!!

I like the Dropped Call one where the W calls out-of-town H to tell him that she is pregnant and he is absolutely beside himself with joy (the sad thing would be is if this were real life since I’m not sure that initial spontaneous joy could be repeated when they finally see each other again).

My favorites right now are the Mac vs PC ones with the “cool” younger “I’m a Mac” male character and the nerdy middle-aged “and I’m a PC” male character.

I’ve always thought the “life comes at you fast” get Geico commercials were pretty funny. I always laugh at the one with the guy flipping the switch off and on in the house while telling his wife it doesn’t work when down below his mil’s car is getting pounded by the garage door going up and down.

When I say hilshire, you say farm. Hilshire. Farm. Go Meat!

theres a comercial for a cell phone service with a mom and daughter discussing the bill and text messaging where the daughter talks in text abbreviations and the Mom tries to follow her lead.I think the kid is just perfect…just the way you would hear kids talk in the street. And the Mom looks like Jodie foster.

I like the cell phone one too. Do any of you get the Comcast commercials? I loved the first one with a turtle telling his wife to “Why don’t YOU push it, push it real good!” about the lawn mower I think. I’ve only seen their new one once but it involves a prim and proper mom visiting on the sofa with her friend while her son repeatedly calls from the next room, "Mom! Quick you gotta see this…Fido(?) learned a new trick! Cut to “Fido” scooting his but across the carpet. P & P Mom, annoyed at son’s interruptions, finally looks up and SCREAMS bloody murder! LOL, I never expect their wacky endings because they start innocently enough that you don’t really pay attention. Great fun.

My daughter and I love the dropped calls ones as well. My personal favorite…Earl got your tongue? In this Tivo age, there are a few commercials we rewind for – Mac v. PC, Geico Caveman (“It’s my mother, I"ll put her on speakerphone”), and Jack in the Box.

I like the Charo one, even though I don’t like Charo herself. I think because my whole family is prone to that kind of misunderstanding.

Comcast: Save big bucks. Save (el) moolah. Stupid funny – funny.

I forgot about “it’s my mother, I’ll put her on speakerphone.” :D

“So getting Geico insurance makes me less of a caveman?”

Yea ‘save big bucks’ and the Geico ones are hysterical. i’m a sucker for any puppy or kitten ones, too. What a sap! lol
