I took a fashion class in the Spring of sophomore year and had an A. After the second triad, I transferred to a new school, where I was expected to practically complete everything from the year in a matter of a few weeks which was impossible, especially since I couldn’t afford the materials. Additionally, I was expected to participate in the Fashion Show as the final for the class but I couldn’t attend because of a mandatory therapy session. As a result, I got a D- in the class. I retook it junior year and got an A, so the D- isn’t factored into my GPA but it’s still on my transcript.

However, I was looking at my progress report from my previous school and realized that the “A” should have been averaged with the “D” which would either raise it to a “C” or a “B-”. I feel so dumb for not realizing this before. If I get it changed, it will drop my GPA from a 3.95 to about a 3.85 or 3.90, and it may look bad to have taken it twice. On the other hand, the “D-” itself looks really bad but I could have my counselor explain it.

Should I bother getting this fixed or should I just leave it as is? Would it make a difference since it’s just an elective class?
