I messed up?

Hypothetically, can I get in a college if I didn’t send the required teacher recommendations? I have them but for this particular school I didn’t submit them and I didn’t realize until now and decisions have been made and are being sent out this week. Just wondering if it will cause an automatic rejection or?

Don’t think it would cause an automatic rejection but its a shame you didn’t send them. A lot of colleges value LOR because they are a personal addition to your application that helps the committee make you a person and not a number. Also it makes your application seem incomplete if they specifically required them.

Call the admissions office ASAP and tell them the situation. They, and not this board, are the only ones who can answer your question.

@rvalover7 just looked and they were test optional but you had to send a graded paper or something equivalent if you went that route so I’m pretty sure I have no chance, haha thank you though!

@HPuck35 okay I’ll try, thanks!

@gk1733 did you not submit scores?

@rvalover7 no, I had planned on it but I kind of realized I didn’t really want to attend the school so I never did

@gk1733 then why do you care if you get rejected? This thread made it seem like you were worried. The mature thing would have been to call admissions and withdraw your application so they could spend more time on applicants who care.
