I might get expelled from my Technical school...what now?

i took this stupid picture on snap-chat of these two girls and the teacher in the background. Then i wrote ugly ass bitches on the picture with gun emoji to the girls head and put that one of the girls was inlove with the teacher (which was true)… OF COURSE IT WAS A JOKE but i sent it to this girl in my class and she screen shot the picture and put it on Facebook. i didn’t find out till the next day . i got suspended and was told i might get expelled. i had to go to this disciplinary meeting . i went yesterday and it didn’t go well. now I’m waiting on their decision to see if get a second chance or get expelled. GOD forbid if i do get expelled , is there any way i can get a student loan forgiveness ???

Wow, that was incredibly stupid of you. Sorry. But with all of these news stories about gun violence going around even a “joke” like your snapchat can be considered a threat. You’re pretty lucky the girl with the gun to her head didn’t press charges because in today’s society she could have done that and gotten away with it even it merely looks like a minor threat. I don’t know if you can get a student loan back or not I would contact the school and ask but chances are you won’t. If the school does accept you back then you should really think about your actions before you do something. Best of luck in your educational future.

@FaithIsKey Assuming this is a serious post and not a stroll post, you really screwed up. I don’t care if it was a joke or not; in this day and age, “joke” threats can be considered real threats and are dealt with as such.

Think before you do.

If this is a serious post, and even if it isn’t, this is an excellent example of how social media can have a serious negative impact on your life.

If you get expelled, i seriously doubt your student loan will be forgiven. If you haven’t used the whole loan yet, I would recommend you keep the balance in the bank until this situation gets settled. That way you give back what you have remaining and will only have to pay back the amount you have used so far.

This action could make it difficult to get into another school too.

Hopefully you have learned not to do something like this again.

So you think it is a joke…but how do others at your school not think it a threat?
