I miss doorknobs

How do you operate a doorknob with your foot? ~_~

that’s easy! I do it all the time with the flush-like doorknobs. But it’s difficult with circular ones, unless you are barefoot.

Apotheosis - that would work for me!

So you just raise your leg and wrap your toes around the handle and try to keep balance? :o

yup. that’s basically it. It’s alot of fun too. lol!

We have door handles at school. They’re awfully ugly.

I wish I had door handles. I want to open doors with my feet!

it hurts alot later though, if you’re not naturally the flexible type. Believe me, I know!

omg! I just saw a real life, round doorknob!!@@!!!

Are doorknobs, for some reason, less common in the Middle East? That would be interesting.

lol, no. round ones are rare. there are only those pull-down handle ones…

I like old fashioned key holes. I miss those.

is there more than one type of key hole? or are you refering to the new key cards/ thumb print stuff…

No, no, the really big old key holes where you could actually look through them into the room.

http://blogs.theage.com.au/managementline/archives/keyhole.jpg

looool…that would suck, to have someone be a ble to see everything you’re doing in your room…

Round doorknobs were made illegal in a lot of places with the passage of Americans with Disabilities Act. How I miss them…

It is nice though being able to open the door with your feet though.

…this thread is still around?

from what i can tell, yes it is.

prankityclankity - r u serious?

right now I’m angry with doorknobs.
my whole house has old doorknobs, but the one to my room keeps falling off. it drives me crazy. (the one to my sisters room has been off for years, and they use it to lock people out).

It’s annoying when it drops off everytime I go in or out. of course I could probably solve the problem with a screwdriver or whatever you use, but that’s just not the way I do things. I just complain instead.

or just get rid of the doorknob (and the lock) so you don’t get locked in or something…

our doorknobs don’t have locks though. and if I took of the doorknob I would definitely be locked in. because then I wouldn’t be able to open the door.
