I miss doorknobs

<p>seriously! I haven’t seen an actual knob in seven years. All the doors I’ve seen for that time had those pull down handles that really hurt my hands. I really miss the round doorknobs with the button lock in the middle…ah…</p>

<p>All the doors I encounter everyday has those doorknobs…</p>

<p>My granny is able to turn them with such strength she actually bypasses the locks at times.</p>

<p>I still say that round ones are alt easier to handle, as well as alot more elegant looking than a doorknob that looks like a toilet flush!</p>

<p>Yeah but not when your hands slip everytime you try to turn it because someone who has an oily hand 24/7 likes barging in on you a lot and detests the concept of privacy.</p>

<p>I understand though, I hate toilet flushes as well.</p>

<p>I hate toilet flushes too —> the reason being most of the time no water comes out on applying it.</p>

<p>Actually that would be a door handle, not a door knob. But at least you can open a door with alternate body parts, in case your hands are full. So although it doesn’t look as nice, it is at least functional.</p>

<p>because that’s how things are done around here. That’s like asking: why most ovens here use gas and not electricity, or why celcius and not fehrenheit is used to measure temp!!</p>

<p>I feel stupid:</p>

<p>today I slept at 3 PM, then woke up at what appeared to be 6 AM, I was extremely refreshed and happy to begin a new day. I went about my regular morning routine, then decided to check up on college confidential, and was bamboozled to find that this thread had only 7 posts. I looked at my digital watch, only to discover that…it was actually 6 PM!!! and here I am spilling my gits out with what is my most embarrassing experience to date!</p>

<p>LOL Ambi, I would never mistake 3 hours for 15 hours… it just won’t feel that way. And before all, I’d never sleep that long without waking up and checking my computer for e-mails, msgs, at least four times in between. By the way, is it still daylight at 6 PM there?</p>

<p>the interior doors of my house have knobs. the outside doors have levers though.</p>

<p>I have oval door knobs…
I think they are fine, but hard to open with your feet if your hands are full, but easier then a circular door knob.</p>
