So I was recently laid off at the beginning of April and want to go back to school and finish up my undergrad. The last school I attended was Loyola University Chicago. I’d like to reach for a higher ranked school but it seems like I have missed the deadline on A LOT of schools. So what top ranked schools are still taking apps?

I’m 25, so this should probably be posted in the non-trad forum but it might get more views here.

Many colleges are still accepting applications. See:

[Space Availability Survey Results 2010](http://www.nacacnet.org/PublicationsResources/Research/SpaceAvailabiltySurvey/Pages/SpaceSurveyResults.aspx)

The list doesn’t include the more selective colleges. That said, many colleges where you can get a fine education are not yet fully booked for the 2010-2011 academic year.

You probably are a transfer applicant. Pick up the phone and call the transfer admissions offices of the colleges/universities that you are interested in and find out if they are still accepting applicants. Some that aren’t listed in the NACAC website may be flexible in your specific situation.

Good luck!
