I Need a Boost Up...

<p>Hey all! I just registered here, so it’s my first time. Please excuse my rudeness in any way, and forgive my n00bish tendencies. Here’s my info:</p>

<p>I’m applying to 10 schools:

<p>Carnegie Mellon is my FIRST choice school. I reeeeaallly wanna go there…</p>

<p>My GPA in my school is:
Unweighted: 89.88
Weighted: 91…something
(You have to realize that at my school last year, there were only 2 people that got 95 or higher unweighted)</p>

<p>SAT:
Math:800
CR: 720
Writing: 710
Superscore: 2260 (only 30 points higher, lol)</p>

<p>SAT II:
Chem: 700
Bio: 700
**Physics: 690
US History: 640
Math IIc: 800<a href=“Bold%20means%20all%20in%20the%20same%20day”>/B</a></p>

<p>AP:
US History: 3 <- that sucked</p>

<p>EC:
Cello for 12 years:
Orchestra all years
All County, Western Regionals, All State (principal)
Quartets
Various gigs, and benefit concerts</p>

<p>JETS: TEAMS First place National Team
Tech Team (Captain?)</p>

<p>Schedule Right Now:

Science Research</p>

<p>Future Careers and Majors:
I’m aiming to become a Computer Science Major, and going into a game development career. (Game programming)</p>

<p>Are you doing any Early Decision/Action? Your SATI scores are great. My S had same problem with taking 3 SATII on same sitting and is retaking Physics in November. Look on the “College Admissions” Forum here and there is a thread entitled: SAT/ACT Score Choice that has interesting info about reporting only your selected SATII scores. Good luck.</p>

<p>Yes, I am doing Early Action for MIT and Caltech, but I’m not totally sure I’ll get into either. Right now, CMU is my top top top top choice. :)</p>
