I need a different word...help??

I’m writing a short answer essay for Princeton. One of my lines in it is “I’m a perfectionist, but I’m not perfect at all.” I need a different word… for perfectionist that doesn’t have a negative connotation (it seems like nothing is ever good enough for me) but gets across the idea that I nit-pick, in a good way because I pay attention to detail…my brain is fried! help…

Perfectionist isn’t necessarily negative.

Go getter, Stickler, thorough person, purist

i think your sentence is fine. if you insert another word, the sentence might not flow as well

yeah…if u wanna read the whole thing IM me toomuch2say87 … it’s out of context. It comes after a sentence about how much I hate the taste of chicken…so my English teacher thought the combination of the hate for chicken then talking about being a “perfectionist” gave a negative connotation…

It has a slightly negative connotation, but the whole reason the sentence works is that you play off the word “perfectionist” at the end of the sentence with the word “perfect.” I say leave it as it is, if you swap with another word it sounds a little awkward.
