I have a moto G plus unlocked phone from Amazon. It was around $200. Meets all my needs. My daughter also has the same phone.

Samsung S6 Active. It’s up to the S9 now. They are water and drop proof without a case. My husband loves his. He got his at B and H Photo online…$300 because the S6 was no longer being offfered by ATT.
The S7 is older…the S8 is also available. The S9 is the current version…about $900, however…
The active series is reliable and great. My husband is a bike rider…so he really likes this phone.
