I have an old Samsung Galaxy. Even though I bought a new battery, the darn thing just does not hold its charge. It’s so annoying. I am ready to buy a new phone. I want an Android platform. Do you have any reasonably priced recommendations? Thanks!

Samsung Prime J7, unlocked less than $200
My H and D are happy with OnePlus. She has his old 3t and he has a 6. They were about $400-500 with lots of features. Can only purchase online, I think. We had OnePlus one, but I found iPhone more intuitive. H and D were happy to stick with android platform.
I like my Pixel just fine.
What is your definition of “reasonably priced”, is there are particular mobile phone carrier that you want to use, and do you have other wants (e.g. screen size, water resistance, security update frequency, etc.)?
I use Verizon, don’t want a huge screenface and I really don’t use my phone all that much. But the dang battery runs down lickedy split. It just drives me nuts.
Perhaps consider a prepaid TracFone. (since you don’t use it so much)

One plus is coming out with the 6t Through T-mobile at the end of October then selling First week or so on November.
My OP3 just keeps on working.
My H is eyeing the 6t. He and D are very pleased with it. I never loved it as much as they did, though I wanted to.
I have a Motorola G5. Wife has a Samsung J7 Prime. I like mine better.

Sometimes Costco online has great deals on Motorola. My wife got one of their flagship phones that would normally be like $800.00 for like $395.00 and it came with some projector thing… That she had never used… Lol

They did make phones sold through Amazon but these has a lot of advertising that pop up all the time… So buyer beware… Also look at specs and make sure your comparing apples to apples since memory, speed etc can change within models.
Pixel 2. I’m guessing there are good deals now that the 3 is coming out. The lack of bloatware makes it much nicer than using a Samsung, which I had in the past.
I have a universally unlocked Moto G4. It is water resistant, holds a great charge and I can change SIM cards when I travel abroad. Good price too.
Have you tried placing the phone in power saving mode? It has been a lifesaver for me, on a low-tier, inexpensive Galaxy.

My very old Galaxy 3 has been acting up. The screen keeps freezing and sometimes I can’t answer it because, well, it’s frozen. I’ve turned it off and back on, but I think I’m going to have to admit that a 6 year old phone just gets old.
I’ve been using a 7 (my father’s phone) and might switch to that. The issue is, again, I can’t get the damn thing to answer called. Supposed to slide the green button, but it just won’t. Maybe I have no pulse in my finger? everything else like the messages and texts work fine.
I have loved my galaxy 3 and would like an 8 or 10, but will just settle for what is free.
