I need advice - close to home

I think Northwestern is basically the perfect school for me. I like the academics, the people, the size, everything. I just visited Pomona and realized it was too small for me. But I live in Wilmette, IL. I bike to campus sometimes. My Ultimate team practices there. I play pickup ultimate there. My high school band plays at Pick Staiger. I hang out in downtown Evanston. It’s so close! Plus, I’m super super sick of the weather here. I abhor winter. I hate (hate hate) playing Ultimate in cold weather. Especially on Long Field, on Deering Meadow. Plus I know so many people going there and stuff, which I don’t really like. I love the idea of spending some time away from the freakin North Shore.

I need to get away.

But otherwise I think it’s perfect, better than my other choices, anyway. What do I do?!

There are many closely comparable schools to Northwestern that are in different parts of the country: Wash U in St. Louis, Duke, Stanford, Georgetown, Penn, Cornell…

You probably have checked these out already, but there’s no harm in looking again.

No, I’ve been admitted, I gotta decide by May 1

Where else did you get accepeted?
