I need convincing

I live in NJ and I am going to major in mechanical engineering. I need to decide within a few days on Rutgers (would end up costing about 18 k a year) or Northeastern (would cost about 40k a year). They’re both about on the same level, but I feel like I just need to get out of new jersey. I can’t exactly articulate how I feel but I just feel like I can’t be here for another four years.

Thanks in advance.

As Roesanne Rosannadanna once said: “Ya gotta get out of New Jersey!”

(Old SNL skit)

Don’t know what you want to hear to convince you but I understand the wanting to leave part. If the money is just unreasonable, you can always take either Rutgers and transfer out after a semester in hopes of getting into a school that offers mechanical engineer, is out of NJ, and that will offer you more money but that is up in the air. Transfers also get a lot less money.

Would you be dorming at Rutgers? Do you especially love Northeastern? Maybe just getting out of your home will change the situation a bit.
