I need direction...major.

<p>So I am basically completely baffled as to where I should apply/look for college. I am a senior so this is sort of an impending reality… Originally I was set on going into business so I was looking at schools like Georgetown, GWU, BU, WashU, NYU, etc. but I also love Tufts which does not have a business program, so I have recently become more open to the prospect of schools that don’t offer business and instead a more liberal arts based education (possibly majoring in either spanish/economics?). I have found I am not very hard to please when it comes to schools but I have decided upon a few criteria:</p>

<p>-I want a campus
-Near a city/town
-Northern schools (possibly with snow, pretty, mountains, etc.) although, recently the prospect of the south has grown on me… if the money is right…
-Offer merit scholarships!!
-Small class sizes or more individual attention is preferable
-School spirit (if there are athletic games to attend i.e. football, basketball, that’s a plus but not imperative)
-I am planning on attending graduate school to receive an MBA so I would like to graduate undergrad with as little debt as possible… I am not obsessed with getting into the TOP TOP schools as long as I can get a good education with some merit aid because I probably would not qualify for much need-based aid.
-I don’t want my classmates to be like some of those who attend ivies and can be little pretentious… I want to be happy and have fun in college, not feel super pressured by peers who feel the need to be perfect… :)</p>

<p>Here is a little about my stats:
-gpa: no 4.0 scale, but i have a steady increase from an 89-94 yearly average from fresh-junior year (hardest courses possible at highly competitive school)
-sat:lets not talk about it
-act:30, but retook today… i am a slow worker so i don’t perform at my full potential.
-ec’s: a few with strong leadership and dedication :slight_smile: </p>

<p>Are there any good fits you can think of? HELP!</p>

<p>MBA’s usually require a few years of work experience before you can apply, or at least be competitive in applications. Don’t stress about that now.</p>

<p>i know, but i was just making the point that going to a super prestigious undergrad business program is not a high priority for me. any schools, please?</p>

<p>Rice? (I know, I know, it’s in TX, but I, too, have opened up to the idea of the south recently after looking only at east coast schools.)</p>
