I need help finding colleges! + best colleges for networking?

I am currently a senior in high school and to be honest I feel like I have no idea what to do in regards to moving forward to college/university. I know there are plenty of college search engines for me to use, but I would appreciate some personal opinions.

I have a 3.76 GPA and will be retaking the the SAT and am hoping to get at least a 2000. I would prefer going to a 4 year university and am thinking about majoring in either Business Administration, International Business, or Marketing.

I want to partake in the whole college experience and my main goals for college other than success in academics, is to really network with other like minded people and have usable experience that must be obtained outside the classroom.

Do you guys have any specific school recommendations?

I don’t know if I conveyed my point clearly enough and I know this question is pretty broad, but any advice/suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. I live in California but am open to out-of-state (and international) schools , as long as the tuition is not too high.

Not sure what kind of “networking” you want. Are you hoping for internships where you can build your professional contacts and skills? Or like minded students in your major that you will keep in touch with after graduation? Or frat brothers who might help you find a job because you have shared beers?

What is ‘too high’ for tuition? How much can you afford?

Check out Cal State Fullerton, Cal State San Luis Obispo, and Long Beach State and San Diego State. IMHO, the dark horse school is the brand new UC Merced, which will rise in the rankings.

@intparent All 3, but mostly the first 2.

We’ll need an answer to post #2 to make any kind of valid recommendations.

He just answered it in post #4. In other words, it is a vague question… I want help getting a job and a place where I can make a lot of friends.

Post # 2 is what can your family afford. Your question was in post #1 (and for some reason the OP is always post #0).

Run the NPCs on SUNY Albany, Chapman, LMU LA, Miami OhioFarmer, University of South Carolina, Bentley, Loyola Chicago, Penn State Smeal, for matches;
Dickinson (International management) and Babson as reaches?

Single Parent income but I am an only child… I believe approximately $60k a year. So based off that

60k income?
Run the NPC’s, but your best bet is likely one of the "meet need " colleges (Babson and Dickinson would be reaches but top programs and excellent financial aid), then UCs, Cal Poly SLo’s Orfalea, and SDSU.
