I need help how to plot out my literary analysis paper?

<p>I hope im putting this in the right section, forgive me if this isn’t. </p>

<p>I have to do my first Literary Analysis paper and im a little nervious, its 7 pages long. Im writing on the symbolism of the wallpaper from the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper”</p>

<p>the requirements are as follows</p>

<p>"Literary Analysis will most likely comprise a majority of your college level writing. This paper will give you the opportunity to practice that skill. Select some specific aspect of any short story covered or to be covered (see the syllabus for future readings) and in a complete essay of 7 – 10 pages, please analyze its meaning to the overall story. You may use two stories if you find that they are contextually related, but please do not write a compare and contrast essay. This is an analysis.</p>

<p>Be sure to choose a key symbol, a theme, an image, or a character that you think is rich in meaning, important to the overall story, and that you understand and can discuss clearly. Your discussion should interpret the text from your own perspective and be supported with specific and clear evidence from the story [your primary source]; you may also cite from up to three (3) critical source"</p>

<p>(If someone could give me tips, or an outline that would help me plot out my thoughts that would be awesome. Thank you )</p>

<p>What did your professor suggest to the class? Does your university have a writing center you can contact? </p>

<p>No one on here can (or rather, will) write up an outline for your essay. As for tips - don’t procrastinate, read through the necessary material and take notes relevant to the assignment, and just start writing. If you encounter problems, contact your professor. </p>

<p>Oh and I should mention im taking an online class, and unfortunately the professor is hasn’t responded to my emails. I only have what is posted on the website to do. I don’t expect you guys to type out an outline or anything (nor did I want you to), I was just hoping you could steer me to a website that shows a good outline that i could use. Or give me some tips that helped you on your paper</p>

<p>While you are waiting for the Professor to answer

  1. Make sure you are using the preferred manner of communication (see the syllabus)
  2. Figure out what is the symbolism of the wallpaper
    Does it change throughout the book?
    Find examples in the text</p>
