<p>so im in high school the 11th grade and i have my mind set on a couple schools but they dont have what i want to major in…Is it a bad idea to go to those colleges? well i really dont know what i want to major in… i have taken marketings classes but im also in to sports mostly track i have no idea what to do i just want to figure something about befor eit gets to late for me i plan on going to different schools this summer to see which ones i really like</p>
<p>What is your actual question? Is your question about majors or about visiting colleges.</p>
<p>Don’t set your heart on any school as you may not get in or may not be able to afford it. You also may find others you like as well. </p>
<p>In terms of majors, many students do change their major and you may also but in general, it is better to start at a school that has the major you are interested in or at least various options to switch to. </p>
<p>You need to develop a list of 10-15 possibles then you narrow the list down as time goes on and you know what your scores are and you have had a chance to visit a few schools. Good luck!</p>
<p>If the college you really have your heart set on doesn’t have the major you’re interested in, that doesn’t have to be a huge deal. There are probably related academic disciplines available, or if not there’s always grad school. College isn’t your last chance to learn…</p>
