I need help 'slimming down' my possible schools list

I am doing a bunch of research to find out which schools really ‘speak to me’, but I also found out that there are many, which really doesn’t help me.
Can you point out cons about any of these universities? Or something that you think would make me not want to go there? What should I consider when ‘excluding’ a school from my list?
(I am an international student, also I will major in Biology/Pre-med)

O.k, so here is the list:

Syracuse University
Fordham University
Drexel University
New York Institute of Technology
Whittier College
MCPHS
University of Massachusetts Amherst
Northeastern University
Elon University
Loyola Marymount University
University of Hartford
Humboltd State University
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
University of Tampa

The weather is very different at many of these schools. Syracuse gets a lot of snow in the winter and is very cold - among the coldest schools in the nation. On the other hand, University of Tampa is very warm and humid from April through September. Humboldt State will be very rainy from November to March. Culturally, you also have a wide range. Elon and Univ of Tampa are in the south, Humboldt has a definite marijuana culture, LMU is in Los Angeles with the whole LA scene, Whittier is in the 'burbs. Fordham is in NYC. If you are an international coming from a city in Europe you will be most comfortable in a city in the US. If you are coming from South America you might feel more comfortable weather-wise in the south.

What are your stats like? Do you need financial aid? Your answers to those questions will make a big difference, especially as an international.

Those schools are all over the place, in every way - weather, location, selectivity, etc. A little more information about you would help us give you more informed answers.
