I need help stat!!!!!!! Please help 940 SAT June 2014

My mom does not have expensive 700 prep course fee I need at least a 1010… What are my chances to increase my score by 70 points? 460 reading 480 math … What book should I buy?

Go through practice tests from college board’s blue book! Also check sparknotes, PwntheSAT,Testive and number2 for free good online resources

I would suggest searching up the essential 300 and using that as a vocabulary source as well as sparknotes 1000 FREE vocab words for critical reading. For the writing section I suggest you buy the ultimate grammar guide by Erica Meltzer, it’s like 26 bucks and I’m sure like everyone that’s read the book thoroughly has said they gotten a 700+. For math there are a couple choices. I don’t suggest Dr Chung’s because I’ve heard that it gives you very hard questions and vague answers, although I’ve heard it helps students from the low 700s to high 700s. I’ve heard good reviews for PWN the SAT Math Guide. I personally bought Grubbers complete SAT guide and am using the math section as a refresher and to relearn things I’m feeling shaky on. Grabbers does a nice job of re teaching you what is important on the SAT and showing you all the steps so you understand the methods. Don’t use Grubbers for the practice exams for anything other than math, and on a side note ONLY do College board practice SAT tests. You can get 10 practice exams from the official CB SAT book, 3-4 on the CB website, and if you do some digging, you can find around 7-14 more. I suggest taking a practice test, simulating the SAT with full time and breaks so come test day you won’t feel stressed, also teaching you some perseverance in the exam. After finishing the exam, spend the next couple days going over each exam VERY CLOSELY! I know it’s gainful but try to define any words you don’t know, on math go online and search up the question and look at how others solve it, for writing if you get Meltzers book it should help you.

First edition of ~ ultimate grammar guide by Erica Meltzer Or Second

Use Direct Hits for Vocab and as has been said already ultimate grammar guide by Erica Meltzer

You don’t need an SAT course I self studied my way to a good score. Plus there are many good free online stuff on CC to use (Silverturle’s Guide , Xiggi ’ s advice ’ Noitiaraprep’s method ) . but you have to have the Blue Book
