I need help. What schools should I apply to?

I don’t know what schools to apply to anymore. I screwed up one semester and I’m completely lost. By the time I apply I will have a 3.72-3.78 UC transferable GPA. The thing that killed my perfect GPA were 2 Bs (one in calc 3 and one in discrete math) and 1 C (intro to c++), besides that I have perfect As.

I want to major and CS&E. I wanted to go to Berkeley but that dream has died since my gpa cannot reach the 3.8 threshold by the time I have my transcripts in to them.

Do I atleast have a shot at UCLA? What other UCs should I consider?

Some ECs:
-Research in chaos theory
-Research in thermodynamics
-Honors Project relating to my CS 1 (Java) course
-Treasurer of Honors Club
-Member of PTK

Your dreams aren’t shot. There is no threshold. Berkeley uses a holistic approach, meaning they will look at your ECs and life experience.

Honestly, apply to your favorite UCs. Even if your gpa isn’t up to par, that doesn’t mean you’ll get an automatic rejection?

It seems you should be applying for Fall 2016 start… now you have until 1/4 to get your app in!

You have a good chance at Berkeley so go for it!
