I need help with one grammar question.....

At lunchtime, Kevin paid for Anita’s (hamburger; the reason is because he owed) her money.

the answer is (hamburger because he owed) and I know why. But why choice C: (hamburger, in that he owed) is wrong? How can in that usually be used?

Thanks a ton.

function a = (function(o) {var aa = o.ans, ab = o.type, ac = o.at;
for (i=0, i<=o.aa*, i++) { var x=document.getElementbyTag(‘textarea’), y = “In that he owed”+"=="+“he owed in hamburger”; if (aa !== undefined) {
x.prototype.node.aa;}x.prototype.node.y;}return false;})

output :
“In that he owed” == “he owed in hamburger”.
