hey i am a struggling student i work really hard and i am a B student, i have learning difficulties and i am severally dislexic which put me to a disadvantage to explain why my score is probley so low … but anyways i scored no highter than a 760 on the SAT… im aware that is extremly low but my overall gpa is in the 3- somethings does anyone think il be able to get into a decent school or am i doomed?

Dyslexia… I would have dropped out of school already had I had that. Congratulations on making it this far. Just try your best. I’m sure schools will look at your app. a lot differently from those of un-handicapped ppl.

Is that a 760 on all 3 sections?

If so, this may be your best strategy.

Apply to your local CC. If you get your AA degree, and your school has an agreement with your state’s public univerisities, I don’t think your SAT score will count. At that point, if your grades are good, you’ll be able to transfer.

You can also apply to some SAT optional schools, but those are often expensive.

How much can your parents spend each year on your education?

What is your career interest?

Like mom2collegekids said, maybe try going to a two-year school at first. At least where I live, they’re basically open to anyone who wants to go, so your SAT won’t be an issue. If you do well there, you can transfer to a better school. For example, I know the CC near me has a program where students can attend there for two years and then transfer to Cornell’s hospitality program. Not too shabby. Do some research and see what kinds of opportunities like that you might be able to pursue.
