<p>Hello everybody, i hope through this thread i will have gained some form of ‘peace of mind’ with the troubles i have recently been exposed to whilst searching for the route to being a city trader.</p>
<p>Firstly, quickly my background…1 yr in Computing (acheived 90%+ in many exams,
didnt enjoy and transferred to Fashion marketing degree, completed with a 3rd. (I never went into university as i had a business in event organisation / marketing. I knew i didnt want to be in the fashion industry very early on in my degree.)
Now graduated, i realise that finance and math are my strong points, i should never have done fashion. I am job hunting, i am wondering wht would be the best route for me to become a trader with a bank? Also to trade on behalf of a top bank?</p>
<li>go back to uni - do finance related degree?</li>
<li>do a ACCA qualification / become a accountant?</li>
<li>Start at the bottom, doing cold calling stockbroking, work my way up? or…</li>
<li>Any other advice?</li>
