I need some clarification on admissions + campus?

1) First the campus. I visited today, and the campus did not look as enchanting as it did on the brochures. I imagined a decent amount of green despite Rutgers being in a city and I was sorrowfully disappointed. Is it really nice and I don’t notice it? it could have been due to monstrous construction taking place everywhere on campus that clouded my judgment.

2) An admissions officer told me that for your transcript you have to get a copy of your transcript from your counselor and manually transpose your grades yourself to the online form that Rutgers has. This seems ridiculously odd since how would they manage to verify every students grades? Especially since I am out of state…

im assuming you’re talking about the new brunswick campus.

inside the new brunswick campus there are 4/5 differnt campusses. it all depends on which campus u visited.

cook/douglass - ****ton of trees, passion puddle, farms, its naturally nice.
college ave - minimal trees, more like a city typish campus.
busch - it has a nice balance of trees and houses. its not cluttered at all. personally i think its the best campus to just chill outside. a lot of ppl play frisbee, football, and etc outside.
livingston - lots of parking lots. its not really ideal to the eye. just an expanse of parking lots. a lot of ppl tailgate here for football games. but they are creating new buildings here to make it more welcoming and such.

yep your admissions officer is correct. you jsut manually input it and your done. they do check (they have means of checking) in reference to your sat scores i assume. but dont worry too mcuh about that. if you lie on it, you will get caught.

About the greenery (if there is such a word), Rutgers does lack. Trust me – you did notice it. There is nothing wrong with your eyes. >.<

I will say that the closest thing Rutgers has in terms of the green campus look is the Passion Puddle area and Woodlawn area on Douglass; Voorhees Mall and Old Queens on College Avenue.

I don’t think they will check your transcript. I know someone whose grades were incorrectly reported and he ended up getting a scholarship off of it.

If they find out, even after graduation, they have full rights to revoke the degree. Not worth it.
