I only have reach schools, need more match and safeties!

I was wondering if you guys can think of any colleges that are similar to the ones I like but I have a better chance at getting in.
I have a 4.0 UW/5.08W (I take all IB classes), ACT (33), I’m 11th in my class out of 400
I don’t have much leadership, but I have a lot of community service hours (500+), I do photography and Science Olympiad

My dream schools are UPenn, Brown and Tufts
I’m also thinking of applying to Harvard, Duke, Davidson, Chapel Hill, NC State

I know I can’t get accepted into most of these so are there any LACS or private universities similar to Tufts

I like schools that are

  • size: small to medium
  • Have a good science program
  • don’t have a competitive atmosphere
  • Good study abroad

So, any ideas? and why you think those colleges are good?

I also really don’t like greek life (but it doesn’t have to be nonexistent)

I just really like the feel of Penn, Brown, and Tufts… so any schools out there similar to them? Also, I’d prefer for the colleges to be in the North East

Among those on this list, Hamilton, Middlebury, Bates, Skidmore and Connecticut College are a few which might be of interest to you.

URochester has a lot of similarities to Tufts. I’d say Wesleyan does as well.

William & Mary has a similar to Tufts (similar atmosphere, very high study abroad rate), as well as Carleton College. For LACs Lafayette, Lehigh, and Bucknell may be worth looking into for the sciences

Drexel and Temple for similarity to Penn in location/setting.

Since you’re from NC, have you considered some of the smaller UNC campuses like App State, UNC-Wilmington and UNC-Asheville?

There are some great small colleges in the South: Wofford College, Furman University, Elon University, Rhodes College, Guilford College, Wake Forest

If you want to be in the Northeast, some match colleges might be Trinity College, Villanova University, St. Lawrence University, Marist College, Ithaca College, Hobart & William Smith Colleges, Bard College, Union College, American University, Skidmore College, Clark University, Wheaton College, Gettysburg College, Muhlenberg College, Dickinson College, Franklin & Marshall College, Hampshire College, Ursinus College, Juniata College

Some of those lean more on the match side and some of those are pretty solid safeties.
