Seniors at my school are required to take gov. I signed up for AP Gov senior year.

During AP registration, I decided to self-study AP Gov the night before the test ( I figured it would compliment APUSH, which it did! )

I got a 4 :)

Now, since its mandatory to take the class, can I just basically kick back and relax? I’m not trying to be lazy or arrogant, but I guess I should get less work and more time to work on college apps lol

Thanks!

cmon guys, im confused here, would it be bad form to ask the AP Gov teacher to just give me an A and not do anything in class? I wish LOL

getting an A for doing nothing would be kind of extreme. honestly the only thing I think you can do is take it easy on the studying and laugh at your friends come AP time.
or sign up for another course.

or maybe retake and get a 5? but I’m too lazy haha

But again, the class is mandatory so I need to take it to graduate. The teacher might be nice and allow me to use it as study hall…

Mmmm, passing the AP test doesn’t mean you can’t still pay attention and learn stuff in the class, especially if it’s a good teacher… In (almost) all my AP classes, I’ve learned way more in the class than was necessary to know on the exam… There’s no reason to blow it off, especially since it’s required anyway, unless you’re honestly that lazy and don’t care about your education beyond your test scores… =

At the same time… It’s not like it’s going to be a particularly hard class for you, and you don’t have to study for the test. Why don’t you try putting in the effort that’s required of you, no more no less?

^ I agree, okay thread closed. thanks everyone!
