I just finished submitting my cal state apps after working on them over the past two days, I have been very meticulous in getting all the correct info and made sure to check my mom and her domestic partners income overall (yes i used the correct ones, also find it weird how im not getting help from them bc they can’t afford it and thats ok but why do I have to report that?? and im first gen so I have no clue what im doing…also he isnt my legal guardian but its california so ya) I’ve gone through this application process completely alone tbh but in the end when I went to pay it gave me fee waivers even though my mom and her partner make plenty, i figured it was because our household is large or something and I had triple checked but I missed the part where I was missing a digit in their income I reported, so instead of being 200,xxx it was 20,xxx. This wasn’t intentional and I am extremely unsure of what to even do in this situation. Lowkey panicking, the major I’ve applied into are super impacted and picky will this put me in a bad light?
The income question on the CSU application is to determine if you are eligible for application fee waivers.
There is no impact on your admission chances and any financial aid will be determined by submitting the FAFSA.
