i got 200 on the math
420 on the writing
430 on the critical reading
are those just like super low? Can I still get into
college?

I thought you got 200 just for showing up. Did you mess up the bubbles? Did you put X’s instead of filling in the ovals? Etc.

Or – ■■■■■.

I’m serious. I studies for a month for the SATs.
I thought I answered right.

A 200 essentially means that you didn’t get anything right. It’s the lowest possible score on any section of the test. A combined 1050 would be in the bottom 6th percentile of test-takers.
There are, of course, students who get very low scores on the SATs–thousands of them. Most of these, I think, are students who have poor overall academic performance and preparation. There may be others with some other kind of problem. If a student really got a 200 on a test in which they actually filled in the bubbles, there is something seriously wrong, perhaps a failure to understand how to take the test.
Sure, the OP might be a ■■■■■, too.

I understood how to take the test.
I took 2 prctice tests and scored 560 on the math
so I don’t get how I got only 200

■■■■■…fo sho.

you surely messed up your answer sheet.

I find it hard to understand how it could happen. Did you switch pencils before the math section, and use something that may not have registered? Even if your answers were all offset by one, by random you still should have gotten a few right answers.
Again, if this really happened, it is weird, and you should investigate.

200 means you did nothing or you got everything wrong. It’s the lowest score possible to get. And since you’re sure you did things right, maybe request a re-score?

Of course you can go to college!

It would be a good idea to retake the test in that case.

Yes, you can get into a college, but it depends on the type of college. There are SAT optional colleges too…

If you are sure that you deserve a higher math score, then request a hand-scoring. but it cost a fee

And to other responders… tina22rio can answer some questions and still get a 200… With some correct answers and majority wrong answers…

Usually, you can get higher than a 200 with everything omitted… but that’ll be a max for 250, i think…

I really like Hunt advice… but I’ll add another advice, try taking the ACT… people say that it’s easier

and to other posters, maybe tina22rio is a junior high school student and prepping for the SAT… so maybe it’s not low, maybe average on his grade level…

■■■■■ is my guess

If you can do 2+2, you can get a higher than 200 math score. I think this is a ■■■■■ thread. Please post a screenshot of your score.

Ask Jud says: “Don’t feed the ■■■■■.”

Just what are the odds of getting all the answers wrong and not knowing something about the subject to make sure a correct answer wasn’t put in by accident?

I had a problem with my sat score too, but it wasn’t with how it was scored. When i got my transcript, it had someone elses scores on it. Collegeboard said i got a 1660, but the wrong scores said i got a 2100. I would love those scores, but there was just a fluke in the system. they gave good advice. check with collegeboard, cuz it might be worth it to have it scored by hand. time is running out. I did not think acts were easier, but it’s different for everyone. good luck!

200s happen but they are usually done by those who are actually trying to get 200s (to some it is game/challenge) since it requires one to answer almost all the questions wrong, not just leave them blank.

Just as an aside, here’s my philosophy on dealing with possible ■■■■■ posts:
- The person may not be a ■■■■■.
- Even if the person is a ■■■■■, there may be real people with similar problems who might read the thread and benefit from sound advice.
- Finally, I consider everybody who posts here to be a theoretical person in the first place, and so approach all their questions as hypothetical questions.
