I sent in my whole application via paper form (mail) on Oct. 30th, when do I get conf

irmation that Emory received my application? (It was an Emory Scholar’s application btw.)

Today in the mail I received two letters from Emory. One was about Journalism and the other was about English majors. On the English major letter it says that I am receiving this letter because I put down English as one of my areas of studies.

So from this, I am assuming that my application made it safely to Emory and thus they have at least looked at the first part and sent me a letter based on my major.

Is this logical to assume? Or was this English major letter sent because of my profile on like the SAT?

Oh and one more thing:

For those of you who have applied to Emory via paper application in the mail, when, if ever, did you receive notification that the application arrived?

And what did the notification say? Did it give you an ID for online tracking or something?

Thanks.

I’m sure they got your major from looking at the first part of your application. And as far as confirmation goes, I got a letter and an email about a week after I mailed my application. The letter and email gave me an OPUS ID and password which allowed me to check if my application as been processed yet.
