<p>I don’t think they were sarcastic…MD didn’t have 2400 applicants.</p>
<p>Brown hates Maryland; one of the best public schools in our state has gotten in 2/30 of the applicants over the last 2 years, when Stanford and Harvard went 5/20 or something.</p>

<p>That 2/30 does sound low, but all colleges have to look past just the top schools for applicants. And I’m glad they do, or else people from places like my crappy public would never get anywhere.</p>
