<p>Where did you apply to this early? I dont even think most rolling admission colleges allow you to apply.</p>

<p>It may look odd if you’ve mentioned Ethiopia and your counselor/teachers mention Egypt in their recommendation (if they know what you did) and that inconsistency is noticed, but in the end it’s probably no worse than a bad typo.</p>
<p>If you’re worried, contact the admissions office and see if you can send an updated application or if this something you should even be worried about at all.</p>

<p>for some reason my computer was correcting the Egypt to Ethiopia because Word sucks</p>

<p>If you’re worried about it, send your local representative a note explaining you made a mistake. At the very least, it’ll cover your back if someone does raise an eyebrow.</p>

<p>lol i read my essays about 20 times before i uploaded them
and then i read it again after i uploaded it
and in the end, I found out i misspelled Cornell in several places (cornel, lol) but it was too late and it was already uploaded
I learned it is important to have someone else proofread to catch mistakes that the original writer overlooks repeatedly
while it is a little weird that you missed such a major error in proofreading, I can sympathize
dont worry about it and if it really bugs you, then send an email
