I Think I Am Brainwashed.....

I’ve been on here since the beginning of the school year (September), and ever since, everything has changed about my prespective in academics, academic success, and success in general. Has anyone here feel brainwashed or changing your prespectives just because of CC?

Me in September:
[ul]
[]A 93 weighted average is awesome!!!
[]1 honors class per year is pretty good, because at my school, only like 35% of your class actually gets to be in an honors class.
[]Well-roundedness not only frustates me, but annoys and SCARES me.
[]An 18 on the PLAN test, when you’re in 9th Grade, won’t mean much.
[li]Going to a SUNY school is awesome.[/li][/ul]

Me Now:
[ul]
[]A 96 weighted average is obviously not good enough.
[]1 honors class per year is pretty bad, espiecally when it’s definitely not the hardest courseload possible.
[]Well-roundedness is needed in life. Passion is needed in life.
[]An 18 on the PLAN test, when you’re in 9th Grade, means a lot, even if it’s not going to be on your transcript. It pretty much means you need to work on your skills. Plus, if you’re an honors student and you did worse than the non-honors students, it means a lot about you and your school.
[li] Going to a SUNY school is not awesome.[/li][/ul]

No, I found CC to be extremely motivating. And I learned to judge for myself what’s worth it and what’s not. It seems to me that you’re not brainwashed by CC, but rather are in an excessive academic success-geared mentality. Don’t stress so much.

Agree with Xaari! I’m a senior and I got on here just recently <see join date :x

I now feel like I’ve been a slacker throughout high school and really aim to SHOOT FOR THE STARS! in undergrad (I plan on going on to graduate school)

:D  :D

To an extent I feel like that. I realize that I’m not as smart as I thought I was, as conceited as that may sound. It’s very humbling and inspiring.

But at the same time, I can laugh at all the people who are like, “Holy eff, I messed up my life because I got a B+ in AP Honors Advance Murderous College Level Calculus!!!”
