I took a spare in my senior year.. bad idea?

In my junior year, I took a senior class in advance because I wanted to take the AP physics B exam. In doing so, I was left with a spare in my final year at my school. Would this affect my application in any way? How would MIT adcomms view this?

Thanks!

What’s a spare? Do you mean a free period?

You could always do some other interesting thing in that free time, like read or write or tutor small children.

There are no more interesting classes in your high school? :P

^I had the same question in mind.

honestly, you’ll be fine. i had one basically free period, plus 1-2 filler classes senior year, and circumstances led to me dropping another one midway through the year, and they didn’t seem to care/even ask what had happened.

@ PiperXP, nope none. None that would fit into my schedule. The only thing left is a business course and law. I think I will volunteer in our resource room, where students with difficulties go for help.

Thanks for the tips guys! I just don’t want to come off as a time waster.
