I took the ACT Test without Writing, but now need the Writing Portion for Colleges

I called ACT, and they said I have to retake the entire ACT Test with a writing portion in order to take the writing portion. This is devastating, since I thought I would never have to take the ACT test again after getting a 30. Does this mean my previous score will not be looked at after taking the ACT with writing portion? I’m really sad, and my guidance counselor said the writing portion was not required, but I just found out it is for UF, FSU, USF, UCF, and Harvard. ■■■

1) Yes, you will need to r4pe the goose egg at least one more time.

2) It would be very hard to get into Harvard with only a 30.

ALWAYS take the ACT with the writing portion—your score is practically invalid to most colleges without it. At least you still have time to retake (and you can still apply to UChicago without the writing section haha).

i feel bad that your counselor sucks.

but hey, look on the bright side, you have the chance to improve your composite again.
