<p>Hey guys im new here!Im not american im from another country.Its my first year in high school and i struggled so far.Well,i promised myself to work till i die and make all of my grades excellent.Im playing guitar and i will join swimming team soon.Also i want to join activities of peta and green peace.Im making good in my english classes i can make good in toefl and ielts.I know french and my main language too.What should i start doing so i can complete my dream.I dont know how does recommendation letters work but my dad is wealthy he knows lots of famous writers and politicians in my country so can it help me to get in UCLA?</p>

UCLA does not accept letters of recommendation. Frankly, even if they did, getting recommendation letters from people who are famous but know nothing about you is a terrible idea. Recommendation letters are meant to provide insights about applicants that may not otherwise be apparent to admissions committees. A form letter from a famous individual reveals nothing about the applicant other than the fact that he or she is well-connected. And UCLA is decidedly not a school where connections will suffice for admission.</p>

<p>What country are your from? If your from an Asian country, I’m sure UCLA would open it’s arms to you for the means of even “further” diversity. </p>
