I would like to double major in engineering and (economics or business), and go somewhere in the northeast.

Here's my current list

Carnegie Mellon
Purdue-West Lafayette

I need more reaches and matches. Please suggest...

Reaches/Matches (In between) Duke, Emory, Vanderbilt, Washington University of St. Louis. not sure if u share interest in these scools i just feel that you might cuz i do lol

how about Chicago?

I have a relative who is Hispanic, went to Princeton major in Engineering with a Finance minor. Very happy with school, fantastic fin'l aid. Great $$ job right out of school (due to internships), and looking to go for MBA now. But this person was 2nd in class and had a rigorous prep school training in HS, was Team Captain in 3 sports, and many other leadership and academic EC's.

Thanks for the feedback. I am definately going to look into Princeton and Duke.

U _ Chicago isn't that great in engineering and that's why I'm not applying there. Any more suggestion for reaches/matches?

Rose Hulman

What about lower reaches/high matches for me? Would Duke be one?

What kind of engineering do you want to do?
Johns Hopkins is great for BME but it's very hard to get in and Cornell is great for all sorts of engineering. Have you considered Cooper-Union? It's very competitive but tuition is free.

I am considering ee or mechanical engineering. I wil definately consider Cooper Union, but it seems out of reach with their 2% acceptance rate.
