I just started my second year here within the college of engineering (mechanical engineering to be specific) and I came to the realization that I don’t like the program. I don’t like any of the classes I’m in besides my general education class. I’m not doing poorly in any of the classes, I just find the subjects very boring and have a hard time paying attention. My classes for the next 2 & 1/2 years are basically planned out for me and none of them really seem interesting to me either. I know that my future career isn’t exactly what I’m studying now, but I can’t help but fear that I’ll end up hating it. I guess the only things keeping in the college of engineering is the money I’ll potentially make and also the likelihood of landing a job right out of college.

TL;DR:
Should I stay in engineering just for the money/job security?
