What about your SAT IIs?
Doesn’t Cornell require two of them?

Oh, right.
Math II: 800

At the end of the year, I am also taking the ones in Physics and American History.

Any other thoughts?

I was really hoping someone could tell me my chances…

nothing helpful yet…

Come back as a senior.
You’re on track now, but you don’t have enough numbers to really know…

here’s the thing I’ve noticed about williams (especially if you come from a new england area prep school): they’re particularly shameless about their athletics/legacy recruiting. if you go to a school where people routinely taken for their money or sports, then unfortunately there just isn’t any space left for the more usual academic applicants

that being said, your stats and ECs are definitely enough for a place like williams (albeit a little common for them). did you express lots of interest in the place? that’s one of the things they might look for

Williams- low to mid reach
Cornell- high match (it’s still an ivy after all)
Tufts- match
Univerisity of Chicago- mid reach, but depending on your essays
Boston College- low match
Amherst- low to mid reach
Colgate- in
University of Rochester- in
University of Michigan- in

My S is not a legacy or athlete and did not attend private HS. He had no spectacular hook, although his grades and tests were a hair higher. He just happens to be the kind of kid Williams is looking for, i.e. very involved with his community, and he found a way to convey this in his application and was accepted.

It’s almost impossible to chance anyone because results are completely unpredictable. DS was accepted at Chicago (which he loved) but rejected at Tufts (which he liked.) And so forth. The acceptances/rejections did not plaly out in any predictable way unless money was the most pressing issues.
