I want to blow the SAT out of the box, advice?

So basically, I feel like at my school every prep class they offer is a class that will teach you to get a 1800-1900 on the SAT (at best) but I’m not satisfied with that, with my good but not overwhelming grades (about 3.8 GPA) I want to and need to kick ass on this SAT to give myself a half way decent shot at a good school, (Top UC’s mainly) and by kick ass I mean 2200-2300. Because I feel that’s my only real shot left, I can only bring up my GPA so much at this point. I know I’m smarter than my GPA, I test fairly well. I know I’m determined to really put myself in the running for a good school with my SAT score, and I’m going to do everything in my power to blow the SAT away. Having that been said, does anybody who has gotten a 2200 or higher have any advice on how to prepare for the SAT, my plan is to study for it over the Summer, get the blue book and take practice tests from the Blue Book (I figure that the official practice tests would probably be the most similar to the real thing) and take the October 2014 SAT while everything is fresh in my mind from the summer.

Also what prep classes/companies that provide personal companies would anybody recommend, my counselor gave me a few but every one I attend I feel like they are preparing you to get at best an 1800-1900 (As previously stated) and for me to go to a good college I need a really high SAT score, much higher than 1800-1900. I’m going for a score of at least 2200.

So any advice?

Princeton Review offers different sets of classes (Ultimate, regular, basics). Check their website out for more info, and remember they also offer a free practice test on their website.

Read Xiggi and Silverturtle to start

CHD2013, I read Xiggi and am in the middle of reading Silverturtle (Kinda long to read the whole thing in one sitting)
But that’s just two people who happen to know a lot about the SAT and did well on it. I want more than just two people although so far they have both been very helpful.

LOTS OF PRACTICE!!! Raised my score from a 1980 to a 2330 just through practice.

Make sure to focus on your weakest areas and go over THE WHOLE TEST when you finish, not just the questions you get wrong. That’s really how you do well.
