I want to transfer...

I am currently a student at Georgia Tech (majoring in Industrial engineering) and it is a great school but not the school for me. I have been researching schools to transfer to and the more I learn about USC the more I want to go there. It sounds like the perfect school for me. What can I do next year academically (or other) to ensure that I get accepted. I am interested in majoring in business (maybe engineering). I have decent SAT scores (though not perfect) and my HS GPA was high and my first semester at Tech I have a 4.0. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
:)

There’s a USC Transfers thread where you might find the answers you are looking for. There’s a lot of info. The discussion lately may be geared on the wait for notifications on acceptance, which I believe are June 1st, but if you read from the beginning you will learn a lot about the process and what’s needed.

This is written by a SC alumna who lives in east Cobb. I am very familiar with Georgia Tech. USC has a huge alumni group in Atlanta. It is supportive of our local students who attend SC. We offer scholarships, social events and sponsor a great SCendoff party for freshmen right before they leave for Los Angeles. The club also has a list of internships.

Look at Facebook USC Class of 2014 and view the photos of the campus. SC is also an urban university, but the “vibe” is entirely different from Tech. SC’s website is extensive. Check out the majors that might interest you…150 of them! Here is the website: [USC - University of Southern California](http://www.usc.edu) . Contact the university by phone at 213 740 2080, general information. If you are still interested in engineering here is a toll free number for Viterbi 800 526 3347. This is a number for Marshall School of Business 800 352 5719. Do ask for university literature. It is full of helpful information.
