<p>Don’t hate me, but I agree that Boston University has more prestige than UCD.
BU is known around the nation, but Davis is only known in California.</p>

<p>Whoever told you that hasn’t looked at any national university rankings. Davis is ranked much higher. Boston U is probably tied for sixth among Boston area universities.</p>

<p>Well, your reaction is visceral based on sports rivalries. it is clear neither of you have experienced Boston. You don’t need to be a member of the Red Sox Nation to realize Boston is one of the best cities to live in America.</p>

<p>but really guys we all have our own reasons for loving what and where we love. Davis rocks, Boston Rocks and uhhhh yeah the Yankees…not so much</p>
<p>Pinkfeather: I am not disagreeing that Boston is an amazing city, and one of the best cities to attend college (My mom went to BU). I have been to boston a few times, and even seen a game at Fenway (not even against the yankees). I just stated that I am a yankees fan, and would be an extreme minority if I went to school in Boston.</p>

<p>How can you make the assumption that I’ve never been to Boston just because I dislike the Celtics? “Boston sucks” is merely a statement that they chant at the Staples Center every Lakers’ home game against the Celtics. I never meant anything against the city itself. It really is a nice city and, yes, I’ve been there before.</p>
<p>BU isn’t prestigious. It just has name recognition. I mean it has the word Boston in its name. Suppose there are two Universities. One is the University of Yucaipa and the other is the University of New York. Not New York University but instead UNY. People are going to have heard of UNY.</p>
