<p>I would like to know that if there have any Universities or Colleges or Liberal Arts Colleges like Brown U,about you can free-arrangement your life,include the Curriculum that you want to select,as well as have rights to select the time of attending courses yourself.
And the proportion of the freedom of arrange your own life(include your course),that’s the most factor that I am caring of while I am selecting a group of Universities as candidates.</p>
<p>Besides,I would like to know about the Universities or Colleges or Liberal Arts Colleges which can give financial aids to International Student.My mother has money,yet I can not make sure she will definitely support ALL the cost,therefore I have to try to obtain some Info about Financial Aids as backup factor.</p>

<p>Not to be at all rude sounding however, it’s quite plain to see that english is not your first language and that you are not very fluent with english writing and grammatical structure. Since both Brown and Amherst put a decent amount of weight on essays, it may be very difficult for you to gain admissions to either of these schools; both require you to take an english fluency test and score at least a passing score as well.</p>
<p>Be aware that there is a difference between no distribution requirements (the ‘open curriculum’) and no requirements to complete a major. There are a number of schools (add Grinnell to the list) which have no distribution requirements, but I know of no college that will allow you to graduate without completing the courses required for a major. Of course, some schools will allow you to design your own major, so this can add flexibility.</p>
<p>Grinnell also offers excellent financial and merit aid to foreign students (12% of their student body is international) and they don’t include the SAT writing score in their review - but I have to agree with NYU that your written English appears to be very weak, and that will hold you back.</p>
<p>@NYU2013, That WAS very rude actually. The OP did not ask whether or not he/she needs to take the TOEFL or any other test that proves his/her English literacy. The OP does have a decent amount of grammatical errors but his/her grammar was not his/her intended purpose of posting.</p>

Regardless of whether or not the OP asked the question, the point of my post is to provide the OP with needed information. Would you rather have left such information out for the OP to suddenly find out said information and have it be a surprise to OP? No. I’m simply fulfilling the purpose for which CC was created and providing potential students with need-to-have information. You joined CC probably to obtain information on going to college, applying to colleges, etc. I’m sure people have posted in your threads and said things that you did NOT directly question or ask about yet, at the same time, was informative or need-to-know information. </p>

<p>OP, not sure what you mean by this. Students can choose what schedule they’d like to have, but they don’t have any sort of guarantee that they’ll get classes at the time they’d like. For example, if a 2 PM discussion section has filled up and the only section which still has room available is at 8 AM, you don’t have the “right” to take the 2 PM section. </p>
<p>If you are looking for financial aid, that should be your number one priority. Financial aid for international students is a limiting factor.</p>

What are the scores that those schools required?I don’t know if TOEFL 100 or IETLS 7.0 fits the premises?As I had seen,they fit the requirement of a majority proportion of all departments.</p>
