I’m going to be majoring in government next fall and I was wondering how well the IB diploma prepares students for Cornell’s rigor

IB curriculum requires a lot of research and writing, so it should serve you well as a government major. My kid did IB at her school and is doing well at Cornell as a philosophy major.

Thanks! Anybody else?

If you were admitted, you’r prepared for the rigor, newyork21. Don’t fret. You’ll have lots of classmates who did not do IB yet will do fine.

I’m taking the full IB as well. Colleges love the IB, so don’t worry. As long as you do well in the IB, you’ll be fine at almost anywhere you go, including Cornell.
