I have A’s in both IB Calc and IB Eng I so I’m not worried there. I am a little concerned about the SAT Math II and SAT Eng Lit that I’ll be taking because they are NOT like IB. (They’re much worse, LOL!) So here’s my question: if I score low on the SAT tests but have A’s in my classes (and a 7 on my Calc SL), will colleges dismiss the importance of the SAT Subject scores, or at least weigh my classes more in comparison?

Well, it could make your classes look less rigorous. If you can’t do well on them, why take them?

there is no such thing as IB calculus…
There’s HL, SL, and Studies as far as I’m concerned

Take some practices. if you score over a 600 start prepping, if not forget about it

I would assume that the A wouldn’t be worth as much because it just shows grade inflation.
But IF you do score a 7, then it should be offset, since IB is rather consistent with grades…I don’t get how anyone could possibly manage a 7 in IB Math SL and end up with anything less than 800 on the Math IIC though.

LOL You don’t know me. The simpler the material, the worse I am at it. I just get distracted/bored, I guess.

And I know it’s not officially “IB Calc” but no one walks around chatting about “IB Math SLs.”

i took math studies. got an A and a 6 (i wasnt in calc or stats at the time). i got an 800 on the math2c with very little prep.

i knew i got an 800 walking out too.
