IB English B SL

Hi,

Im an international student intending to apply to Duke for my ED. I acknowledge that Duke is very competitive and I want to maximize my chance by any way. Im currently an IB student and my subjects are
English B SL
Language A SL
Economics SL
Math, Physics and Chemistry HL.
My grades are 42/42 and possibly my predicted grade will be 45/45. However I heard that having English B SL would hurt my chances. My teachers had also told me to consider taking English B HL instead but the only problem is I might not get a 7 as the grade boundary is very high. My SAT superscore is CR 750 M 800 W 760 and I wonder if that could replace my End B SL.
Any thoughts?

Take the HL. Curricular rigor and the willingness to push yourself and take a risk will be more telling than having a perfect IB score. Your 2310 SAT will be evaluated separately from your curricular rigor and grades.

thks for the reply  also I want to know how generous is Duke in providing financial aid as it would be likely that Im gonna need quite a large amount
